Pekarova P., Onderka M., Miklanek P., Halmova D., Pekar J., 2009, Mass balance of dissolved chemicals in microbasins with different land cover, Folia Geographica ser. Geographica-Physica, vol. XL (40): 57-70.

Słowa kluczowe (w języku angielskim): experimental microbasins, water chemistry, hydrological balance, mass balance

Zarys treści w języku angielskim: An extensive monitoring program was organized in order to track the fate of various chemical compounds in the main components of the water cycle in three research microbasins from 1991 to 1993. The three microbasins were: (i) the purely agricultural microbasin of Rybarik, (ii) the forested (hornbeam) microbasin of Lesny, and (iii) the forested (spruce) microbasin of Cingelova. Levels of fifteen chemical indicators - pH, EC, NH4+, NO2-, NO3-, Ca2+, Mg2+, Cl-, Na+, K+, SO42-, HCO3-, Zn2+, water hardness, and alkalinity - were measured at twelve locations. The objective of this study was to analyze the mass balance of nutrients and other chemical compounds in precipitation, surface water, and subsurface water. The largest release of the analyzed chemical substances comes from the Rybarik agricultural microbasin while the lowest from the Lesny forested microbasin. In the two forested microbasins, most of the monitored chemical substances are retained in the soil water.
