Zarys treści w języku angielskim: Precipitation is a major landslide trigger and its patterns control the temporal behaviour of landslides. Quantitative analysis of the groundwater recharge process of preferential infiltration of rainfall is necessary to make progress in the assessment of hydrogeomorphological hazards in mountain areas. A 14x7 m2 infiltration experiment, monitored using an array of hydrological and geophysical equipment, was carried out at the site of the black marl mudslide in Super-Sauze in the Southern Alps, France. In particular, high resolution temperature measurements were performed in order to test the use of temperature as a tracer for soil moisture distribution. The spatial and temporal variability of the temperature measurements was studied and related to the hydrological characteristics of the area. The distributed temperature measurements were compared with near surface photogrammetry and in-situ soil moisture observations.
