Summary: There is a very high correlation between water temperature in the Ropa river and air temperature. During the year this correlation since September to November and since March to April has high values (0,79-0,84) however in winter months (December-February) and summer months (May-August) these values are lower (0,69-0,75) ) because in these months often appear air temperatures which values distinctly depart from the values of water temperature. After construction of the water reservoir in Klimkówka, the relationship between water temperature in the Ropa river and air temperature is much less evident what is visible in the course of correlation coefficient between water temperature in the Ropa river and air temperature during the year, before and after construction the reservoir in Klimkówka. The differences are also visible between the periods 1982-1993 and 1994-2006.
The distinct changes are also very well visible in the course of correlation in winter and summer half-years. Before the construction of the reservoir in Klimkówka the values of correlation coefficient in the summer half-years were higer than in the winter half-years however after construction, the values in summer are lower than in the winter half-years.
